This course covers the basic elements of first aid and can be tailored to suit any organisation. The course is suitable for anyone who is likely to find themselves taking charge or who has been appointed to take charge of First Aid equipment or during a First Aid emergency, in the absence of a qualified First Aider.

Included in the course :

• Roles and responsibilities of First Aider
• BLS (Basic Life Support and CPR)
• Treatment of an unconscious casualty
• Shock and control of Bleeding
• Common medical problems
• What to carry in a first aid kit

The certificate is valid for 3 years

Note - We strongly recommend that first aiders undertake annual refresher training. Although not mandatory, this will help qualified first aiders maintain their basic skills and keep up to date with any changes to first-aid procedures.

Course Duration : 1 day ( 6 hours contact time)

Instructor / Trainee Ratio: 1 : 12 (maximum)
